chapter 52: the end of the road

the last 10 months have been filled with MRIs and Catscans, doctors and nurses, admittance bracelets, strange sensations, lots of (disorganized) paperwork, and a lot of uncertainty.  i have fought for my health.  today i lay my weapon down.  it’s the end of the journey, in some ways, and the beginning of a new one.  no more hospital gowns and IVs…for a while…at least, i hope.  i’m retiring my Medical ID bracelet, perhaps to be replaced by a new one…but for now, i look back, and remember this path…it has led me here…today i’ll have a glimpse of where it may be leading next.

thank you for reading.  so far, so good…
